The operator of the TaskAlarm application (hereinafter referred to as the "App") takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy describes what data the App processes, how it is used, and how it is protected in accordance with Google Play store requirements and applicable legal regulations (including GDPR).
Core Principle: The App does not transmit tasks, habits, notes, statistics, calendar data, location, or contacts anywhere. Everything remains on your device. Third-party servers only receive data related to features you actively enable or use (Ideas, Google Drive backup, Premium purchase, bug reporting).

2. Data Remaining on the Device

The App stores this data locally (Room database, settings, files) and does not send it to our servers:

Tasks, subtasks, groups, tags, attachments, notes, habits, and timers

Local statistics and completion records (in-app "Analytics" is not Google Analytics)

Settings, including the password for private groups (stored locally on the device)

Device calendar data, if permission is granted — read and written solely within the device

Location for location-based reminders (geofencing) — processed on-device, never sent to us

Contacts linked to tasks — read directly from the device's address book, never sent to us

Diagnostic log (app version, device model, permission status, reminder count; excludes task titles) — remains on the phone until you manually send it via email

System permissions (notifications, exact alarms, calendar, location, contacts) are used exclusively for on-device features.

3. Data Processed When Using Optional Features

A. Ideas (Feedback)
Opening the Ideas screen creates an anonymous Firebase account (UID identifier, without email or password). We may store:

Nickname you select (otherwise a default name derived from your UID)

Idea text, comments, upvotes, and followed ideas

Optional screenshots you choose to attach

Notification token (FCM) so you can receive updates when a developer replies to an idea you follow

Your nickname and submitted content are visible to other users of the Ideas feature.
B. Google Drive Backup
If you sign in with your Google account and enable backups, the App stores a copy of your app data in your Google Drive storage (in the appData folder). This backup belongs to you; we do not access your Drive outside of this specific function.
C. Premium (Google Play Purchase)
Purchases are processed via Google Play Billing. We do not store payment card details or the email associated with the purchase. The App verifies subscription status directly through Google Play Billing.
D. Problem Reporting
You can describe an issue and optionally attach a diagnostic log. Transmission occurs via your email client; only what you manually review and confirm is sent. The log never contains task names.
E. App Stability
If a crash or error occurs (e.g., within the Ideas section), Firebase Crashlytics may send a technical report (stack trace, device model, operating system, and App version). Task content is never included.

4. Third-Party Services (Processors)

The App displays no advertisements (no AdMob) and does not use Firebase Analytics or Advertising IDs for profiling.
We use:

Google Play Services & Google Play Billing

— Anonymous authentication, Firestore and Storage for Ideas, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, App Check / Play Integrity (abuse prevention). (Firebase Privacy Policy)

ML Kit Translate

— On-device translation of idea texts; Google may download a language model to your device.

5. Legal Basis (EU/EEA)

Performance of a Contract:

Operation of the App on your device; delivery of Premium features via Google Play; Drive backups initiated by you.

Legitimate Interest:

Resolving crashes (Crashlytics), protecting Ideas against abuse (App Check).

Consent / User Action:

Submitting ideas, nicknames, screenshots, email reports, connecting to Google Drive, and granting Android runtime permissions.

6. Retention and Security

Local data

remains until you uninstall the App, delete it within the App, or overwrite it with a backup restore.

Ideas data

is retained until deleted upon your request or until the feature is discontinued. The anonymous Firebase account and nickname are tied to this data.

Drive backups

are managed entirely by you (can be deleted inside the App or directly in Google Drive).

We implement reasonable technical measures (local database, private group encryption on-device, App Check for Ideas). Data transfers to Google occur over their secure infrastructure.

7. User Rights (Including GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and object to processing. Specifically:

Delete local data inside the App (e.g., statistics) or by uninstalling the App.

Delete backups under Backup & Restore or directly in your Google account.

Request deletion of your nickname, ideas, and anonymous Ideas profile by emailing juginnet123@gmail.com (please include your nickname and approximate time of submission).

8. Children's Privacy

The App is a productivity tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU without parental consent). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data via the Ideas section, contact us and we will promptly remove the profile and associated posts.
In-app purchases are processed via Google Play; parents are encouraged to enable purchase authentication in Google Play settings.

We may update this policy periodically. Any revisions will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
